Young Americans too often come back from foreign wars with life-changing wounds. As we carry on with our lives, they struggle for the rest of theirs.
To help ease that struggle, the Fairfield Ludlowe High School boys lacrosse program is hosting the 14th Annual Sticks for Soldiers Thanksgiving Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, November 30th, 2019.
PLEASE JOIN US IN RAISING FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR THESE HEROIC AMERICANS.
Last year, 50 boys and girls teams that included nearly 850 high school athletes raised about $100,000. In 13 years, nearly $900,000 has been donated locally to wounded servicemen and their families.
THE POWER OF THIS TOURNAMENT GOES WELL BEYOND MUCH-NEEDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT.
It also raises awareness. All of us tend to forget. For high school athletes, the chance to compete and raise money for wounded men and women just a few years older than themselves is unforgettable.
THIS THANKSGIVING, PLEASE HELP US GIVE THANKS. To men and women who changed their lives to protect ours.

Sticks for Soldiers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity lacrosse tournament held in Fairfield, Connecticut. Its dual mission is to raise financial support for the service men and women who put their lives on the line for our country, while also raising awareness of their sacrifice to our high school youth. Through their play and fund-raising participation, the athletes can demonstrate their tangible thanks and support.
The tournament, held always on Thanksgiving Saturday, has raised nearly $900,000 in the 13 years, and is an anticipated regional fall-ball competition. Varsity and sub-varsity teams from Tri-State area high schools will participate in
a 7 vs 7 tournament game format where each team will play at least 3 games. Team entry fees, T-shirt sales, silent auction, sponsors, raffles and private donations will be donated to this year's cause. The tournament will start at 9:00 am and conclude by approximately 3:30 pm. At noon, all players, coaches, families, and guests gather at Ludlowe's Taft Field for a ceremony honoring the beneficiaries.
